Thanks to Freedom Broker Armenia, the Khachaturian International Festival is gaining international recognition.
The Aram Khachaturian Cultural Foundation concluded 2025 with the Khachaturian International Festival, offering classical music lovers a major celebration of music and culture. In line with its mission, the Festival brought together renowned musicians in Yerevan, including cellist Emmanuel Graf, pianists Denis Kozhukhin and Antonio Di Cristofano, violinist and international competition laureate Hayk Kazazyan, and others. The concerts were conducted by Sergey Smbatyan, Gianluca Marcianò, Vahagn Papyan, and Bojan Suđić.
Freedom Broker Armenia, the strategic sponsor of the Khachaturian International Festival, has supported the Festival in strengthening its international recognition and setting more ambitious goals. For the company, standing alongside the Aram Khachaturian Cultural Foundation is a strategic priority.
“Our cooperation with the Aram Khachaturian Cultural Foundation is a deliberate and strategic step aimed at building a bridge between culture and business.
Armenia’s future cannot be shaped by economic growth alone; it also requires investment in education, culture, and the rethinking of our identity. True development takes place where financial success and cultural mission meet,” said Hovak Hovakimyan, Director of Freedom Broker Armenia.
Beyond the concert projects, through the cooperation with Freedom Broker Armenia, the strategic sponsor of the Khachaturian International Festival, young Armenian opera singers had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses and perform in a joint concert with Italian conductor Gianluca Marcianò.
“We are pleased to have been able to support young vocalists for whom the opportunity to have an exceptional meeting and participate in masterclasses with Gianluca Marcianò was extremely important. The masterclasses culminated in a unique joint concert. We hope this will contribute significantly to the further development of their careers and have a meaningful impact on the improvement of their professional skills.
I believe this process will continue, and those young artists who did not have the opportunity to participate in such a masterclass will have that opportunity in the future, as we received more than 50 applications,” noted Hovak Hovakimyan, Director of Freedom Broker Armenia.
The Festival was founded in 2013 by Sergey Smbatyan, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, to mark the 110th anniversary of the great composer.
Sergey Smbatyan emphasizes the importance of support for the development of classical music, particularly for the Khachaturian International Festival. In his view, Freedom Broker Armenia’s involvement in the Festival makes it possible to broaden its vision and create greater opportunities to promote the great composer’s legacy around the world.
“The joint work of Freedom Broker Armenia and the Aram Khachaturian Foundation is a great source of inspiration for all of us. It enables us to plan more ambitious projects and organize a festival in Armenia that will not only meet international standards but also become a significant international platform for promoting Khachaturian’s legacy.
Art is not merely an idea; it requires people and teams who share that belief and are ready to invest in it,” said Maestro Sergey Smbatyan.
The Festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, while the Yerevan Municipality was the Festival’s main partner.
