About the Competition

Founded in 2003 on the initiative of the Aram Khachaturian Cultural Foundation and in celebration of Aram Khachaturian's centenary, the Khachaturian International Competition has become one of Armenia's most prestigious cultural projects and one of the leading music competitions in the region.

Held annually in Yerevan, the competition brings together exceptionally talented young musicians from around the world, providing them with an opportunity to perform before distinguished juries, collaborate with renowned conductors and orchestras, and launch international careers.

Over the years, the competition has welcomed participants from dozens of countries and has served as a platform for discovering and supporting a new generation of artists. Through its commitment to artistic excellence, the competition continues to contribute to the development of classical music while promoting the creative legacy of Aram Khachaturian worldwide.
